Secondary School Certificate and Profiling

The Secondary School Leaving Certificate and Profiling (SSC & P) is meant to be a certification of the learner’s experience in the secondary school. It is issued at the end of Year 11 as a proof of su​ccessfully completion of compulsory schooling.

The SSC & P is divided in three sections, namely formal, non-formal (within school activities) and non-formal (after school activities). The certification may be issued at either MQF Level 3, 2 or 1 as per grading structure indicated in letter curricular DQSE 01/2015.

Please note that only activities offered by entities registered as non-formal education providers may be included with the non-formal (after school activities). The registry of approved providers’ may be accessed in the following link.
